Now in its third year, the Chicago Public Schools iPad program is one of the nation’s largest and most groundbreaking. Starting in 2010 with 23 schools and 736 devices, the program now encompasses hundreds of innovative classrooms across the city.
SP Controls, maker of Doceri, is proud to sponsor the CPS iPad Academy on August 15 and 16, 2013. Educators will gather at Chicago’s Westinghouse High School where teachers in the iPad program will share their experiences, along with innovative ed tech leaders from around the region including keynote speaker Dr. Wesley Fryer as well as well known flip class expert Jon Bergmann.
As part of the conference, Steve James from the Doceri team will present a workshop on Friday August 16 on using Doceri to create the video screencast component of a flip classroom model. Those attending Steve’s workshop will not only learn how to easily and flexibly create screencast videos, they will also go home with a free Doceri Desktop license, valued at $30.
The CPS iPad Academy is full and no longer taking registrations. If you are registered to attend, be sure to sign up in advance for this workshop as space is limited to 40.
