• Freedom to roam

  Our district just paid a lot of money for these new interactive projectors. I never used the interactive part because it was to difficult to use. I spent most classes at my desk to control the computer to control the screen. I now have tried the free trial of this app and LOVE IT! It was easy to set up and easy to use. I roam around the classroom control the screen and students. Write notes on the power points or videos, jokes or tell kids to pay attention. I can't wait to try the voice over to eventually flip my classroom next year. This app is going to liberate me. District should have saved money and purchased multiple licenses for this app. Get it!

  You can create your own slides with the variety of tools available. More importantly, you can capture the screen shot and make notations directly on it. This is very useful when trying to use pictures from a digital book or ws in my math class!

  Doceri is certainly a whiteboard app - and a great one. But it also allows you to control and use your pc apps remotely. So your presentation can consist of a pc app and then switch to a whiteboard display, all from your iPad. It's amazing!

  And I've used several. This is the most useful one I have found. The best is that you can email yourself the actual video instead of depending on the website to stream it.

  I have been teaching for 17 years and have used a SmartBoard for many years. Doceri was installed this morning on my desktop and now my SmartBoard is a thing of the past. Having this program gives me more freedom to move around in the class and has already helped with my classroom management. Also, if a student doesn't want to come to the board, I take the "board"" to the student. 5 stars!"

  I've been using doceri for several months in my classroom. I must admit it was THE app I was looking for. It makes videos, seamlessly imports images both from dropbox or camera to a project. it's also a wonderful desktop mirroring app. Great tool as a free app, but costs some money for the desktop integration after trial.

  As a college professor, I am amazed by this app. I was using simple "whiteboard"" apps previously to do in-class lessons. I had to swap VGA connectors or switch views through the podium main controls

  Just started using this as an IWB with my iPad and Doceri Desktop. I teach high school math and this app is awesome! Frees me up to wirelessly present lessons from anywhere in the room, and lets me control and present from my laptop! Love love love it.

  I teach at a small school and the administration is trying to decide if teachers should have iPads.The problem is that our school runs on a DOS system and the concern was that we would not be able to connect to our system.In steps Doceri. With Doceri we were able to connect with our school computers and bonus we could control our SMART boards with it also.Now I walk around my classroom handing students my IPad to answer questions on the board. What freedom.Thank you to the Doceri team.

  I bought the license after two day trial. Much better than educreations or notability. Totally excited to figure this out!!The only drawback I can see is that we cannot embed videos into the presentation, or links to websites. But I have hope that this will happen soon.

  This program has opened up a whole new world of instruction. I can teach from anywhere in the room as I make sure kids are staying focused, and it allows me to "flip"" my classroom (have kids preview lesson presentations the night before they are given and come much more prepared)."

  If i had could only have one app on my ipad for my classroom. It would be this one. I can use it to remote control my computer. Annotate over literally anything and make flip videos easily. If you are wondering if its worth downloading you are crazy. Just download it you will love it!

  I have downloaded over 10 different apps that would be able to record as I write, and this one is the perfect one! I was having trouble finding a recording app that will allow zoom to get the finer details, and this app does it all! It took me a while to find it, but here it is!!!

  This app is awesome! I work in a school district where the students have the latest tech gadgets. The IWB in my classroom doesn't spark as much interest as it should. Now that I can control the board from my IPad, the kids are fascinated. When I use this app, I move away from lecturing to having the kids interact with the board more often.

  Holy Cow! I love this app. I'm a middle school teacher, and I prefer this app over my smart board any day. The ability to walk around the room while teaching works wonders for classroom management, and the functionality of the app is amazing. It's so easy to save projects per class period and pick up right where I left off the next day, which was not easy to do with smart boards and flip charts. I would recommend this to anyone and have recommended it to several other teachers who now use it exclusively. I'm sure I'm a little over-zealous, but I have no complaints so far.

  I don't know how I taught before this app! The best part is the ability to record yourself while teaching a lesson. Makes keeping kids who are absent up to date a breeze! I've got most of my coworkers on board and there're loving it to!

  Great app for use with smart board and power points. Smart board does not allow the use of markers on the smart board and much of the time the board has to be realigned. Doceri allows me to write on any of the images and is much more accurate than the smart board tools.

  Adds so much to my teaching! And, because I can move anywhere in the room during my presentations, students can't easily goof off, surf the web, etc. so many uses, lets me do things seamlessly with images, graphs, and data that would be clunky or impossible with a whiteboard or regular PowerPoint used creatively. Indispensable for teachers!

  This is an incredibly useful app for so many scenarios. I just used it for notes to follow for a presentation ill be giving. I've written letters to friends, and annotated images for a contractor doing work on our house. I can think of endless uses for this app, a must have!

  I played around with the first version of Doceri and loved it; but, found other free apps that did the same thing. Now, with Doceri 2.0, there is nothing that compares. I love the freedom to move around the room while teaching and the option to record everything I do during the lesson. Doceri 2.0 is very easy to use, I can't wait to become an expert and start flipping my lessons!

  I use this with an apple tv plugged into the classroom projector. Perfect for moving around the classroom, having students add to the work at hand, and then recording it. I then post it for the kids to grab off my website for review.

  I have been looking for a devise I could use to project my iPad screen for use in the classroom. I have been looking for months. This is exactly what I need. I am no longer tethered to the podium. I am free to move about the classroom, toggle between whiteboard, Internet and other applications. And, I can annotate everything, too! All for only $30. Get. This. Now.

  I tried this out in January, and was impressed, but in needed a few more features to be usable. After talking to some of the most caring costumer support reps I have ever dealt with and telling them some of my needs for the classroom, I forgot about it and tried apps like Splashtop and Sketchbook. Decided to give a try today and found that they had addressed all concerns and added things I had not yet thought of. I can't wait to try the writing device. Call these people they are great. It is obvious they care about the quality of their product. I talked with the rep for North Carolina btw. They should give him a raise.

  LOVE this app!! I use this in my high school social studies class nearly every day. I love being able to walk around my room "untethered!"". I used to use a ""mobile presenter"" but had to use a laser pointer as well to indicate to students either areas of a map

  I don't often comment on apps - especially when they aren't WOW in my view and THIS APP IS BEYOND WOW! Not sure where to start but from an educational point of view and that of a geek/tech junky this feeds my brain and causes some very deep thinking in terms of pedagogy but doesn't take any effort in terms of ease of use. A+++ for its intuitiveness and thought has definitely gone into its development from multiple perspectives. All very vague? Try it - its FREE and you won't be sorry! Enjoy :-)

  This app is truly the best remote desktop app for teaching. It is miles ahead of everything else in its class. It allows you to control power point presentations and to use your iPad as a fully functional smartboard. Doceri is indispensable for teaching or for any presentation.

  I made my first screencast Tuesday night and posted it on my moodle for the students to watch Wednesday night. I've never created a screencast before and it was relatively easy to put together something that looked pretty good rather quickly. I wasn't sure how tedious it would be to use my finger to write on my iPad, but it really hasn't been bad. The tips (I think they were given in the video tutorials) of switching the background to graph paper (and changing the background to something else when I was done) and zooming in fully in portrait view really made it easy to write legibly and straight. Doceri has excellent customer support. I sent in a ticket through their website yesterday asking a very specific question and received a helpful detailed response in about 9 hours---since I'm halfway around the world in Asia I think that's excellent! I've used the presentation tools a little and i love how I can walk around the room and write more information without needing to stay at the board. I look forward to using Doceri all school year!
